The architecture and the location of the historic "Güntzpalace"
This single monument, an impressive building of the 50s of the 20th century, was completely refurbished in late 2006 to late 2007.This was the rebirth of a historic student residence with 260 apartments.
The prime example of the transitional style between tradition and modernism in architecture, has been build in the early 50s of the last century.
The L-shaped building is set back slightly from the Güntzstraße and is separated from the Striesener Straße by a generous front plaza. This allows an optimum of natural light within the apartments. The windows to the Striesener Straße are fully glazed to the floor level and divided by fine proportioned shoots.
